Abstract

SDN 003 Loa Janan Ulu is an elementary school located in Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan Province. The headmaster of SDN 003 has been choosing outstanding teachers at the end of each school years. The proces of selection s is still done manually to determine the best performing teachers among other outstanding teachers. However, this technique is considered less helpful because it is still done manually and is caused by variables outside the criteria rules, resulting in conflicts and decision that are not in line with the actual results. SDN 003 Loa Janan Ulu has several criteria, such as long working periods, tertiary education, civil servant rank, competency, and discipline of the teachers. Therefore, the study decided to review the decision support system using the WASPAS method. The basic concept of this method is to perform a complex calculation process in accordance with established criteria that have been set to get the results of the calculation. The results of this study found that the application of the WASPAS method can provide the principal in determining one of the outstanding teachers based on the results of the highest score ranking.
