The numerous&nbsp;benefits and various contents of melon make it highly valuable for human&nbsp;health. Determining the quality of melon is crucial, considering its&nbsp;numerous benefits and contents. The quality of melon is determined by the&nbsp;presence of net-like patterns on the surface of the fruit's skin when it is ripe&nbsp;for harvest. Currently, conventional methods that rely on direct visual&nbsp;observation are still commonly used to sort the quality of melons.&nbsp; Therefore, a prototype system was developed to sort the quality of melons&nbsp;based on the texture of their skin. The purpose of this system is to reduce&nbsp;errors caused by eye fatigue and variations in accuracy during the sorting&nbsp;process. In this research, the feature extraction method of the local binary&nbsp;pattern (LBP) was employed, along with the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN)&nbsp;method for classification. The classification was divided into two grades:&nbsp;Grade A and Grade B melons. The testing phase involved 200 data samples,&nbsp;with each grade consisting of 100 data samples. The results of the testing&nbsp;phase showed a success rate of 96% for the system. Based on the&nbsp;percentage, it can be concluded that the system has successfully performed&nbsp;well in sorting the quality of melons based on the texture of their skin.</span></p> Rozaq Arminnur Yuliawan, Riza Agung Firmansyah ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4476 Fri, 20 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Stadium Coverage Using Directional Antennas for High Density Access Points Based on Narrow HPBW https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4119 <p align="justify">The existence of a Wi-Fi network in the stadium is an important issue because of the many requests for communication access from spectators. Implementation of HD-AP Wi-Fi using directional antennas is one solution to avoid severe interference. This study simulates the coverage of the AP installed on the roof of the tribune station. The simulator is designed using HPBW Elevations 200, 400 and 600. Testing also considers the use of the appropriate transmit power, to obtain the appropriate HPBW combination to avoid interference. The analysis is carried out by comparing the reception of the strongest signal with reception at the sector border. The results of the study show that Antenna directional with HPBW Elevation 400 is more effective in serving users in three service sectors.</p> Hasdi Radiles, Sutoyo Sutoyo, Dio Alam Pratama, Ahmad Faizal ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4119 Wed, 11 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Low-cost Waste Management System with Multi-node Application Using Simple LoRa Protocol https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4290 <p>Indonesia needs to manage its waste issue effectively and efficiently. Most of the time, waste management is traditionally done with a direct transit system of ambiguous intensity. This study aims to design an Internet of Things (IoT)-based trash monitoring system that includes an Arduino Uno microcontroller, an ultrasonic sensor, a DHT22, and GPS. Each sensor&nbsp;functions to capture filling level, humidity, and waste location. Additionally, it employs the LoRa RFM95 module, a long-distance data transmission medium. The LoRa RFM95 has tested its RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator), packet loss, and delay parameters with non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation to observe the performance of it. This study used a multi-node sensor application to monitor four trash cans in a large-scale suburban area. The prototype is made up of four nodes and one gateway. The Simple Lora Protocol is implemented on the gateway&nbsp;to avoid data collisions during transmission. Then, the gateway forwards sensor data to Firebase. The stored data in the real-time database is then presented in the Trash Monitor application, making it possible to keep track of any changes in sensor data. This prototype can make the waste management system more effective and efficient by monitoring the trash can’s condition remotely without having to check directly into the trash bin.</p> Trisa Azahra, Mohammad Fadhli, Sopian Soim ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4290 Wed, 11 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Application of the Object Oriented Analysis Method and Design Web Profile at MA Darussalam Pangkal Pinang https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4298 <p align="justify">Web profile is one of the effective media for disseminating information in introducing the institution to the wider community. The limitations in capacity and voltage of individual battery cells necessitate arranging them in series and parallel configurations to meet the energy demands of the system. However, connecting cells in series can potentially lead to charge imbalance among cells, resulting in reduced battery pack capacity and triggering safety concerns. Numerous topologies and control methods for battery cell balancing systems have been explored in previous research. In this study, two fuzzy logic controllers with different membership function shapes are designed to drive the duty cycle of PWM signals for inductor-based cell to cell balancing. Based on simulation results, the designed controllers demonstrate good performance compared to conventional methods.</p> Hartono Hartono, Edi Leksono ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4359 Thu, 12 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Emergency Tower System For An Accident https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4325 <p>An emergency is an accident that cannot be predicted when it will happen. The quality of fertilizer supplier performance that is less than meeting standards can have a direct effect on crop yields, affect the level of efficiency, and decrease the quality of horticultural commodities. Therefore, this study aims to obtain decisions on the most feasible suppliers to be partners in supplying fertilizers. The method used in this study is the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method which is a method for alternative ranking based on specified criteria. The criteria used are in the form of criteria data, namely quality, price, service, delivery, product, and warranty. Fertilizer supplier data is obtained from BBTPH Banyumas and processed using the ARAS method. The stages carried out are identifying criteria, weighting, determining alternatives, evaluating alternatives, calculating the score of each alternative and choosing the suggested solution. The results showed that the best fertilizer supplier was supplier A with an ARAS value of 0.421. Supplier A has advantages in price, quality, and reputation criteria. This research can provide recommendations to BBTPH Banyumas in choosing fertilizer suppliers that suit their needs and preferences. The ARAS method is very useful in solving complex problems and involves many factors. By using this approach, the decisions taken become more objective and supported by clear data. Therefore, the ARAS method can be adopted by other organizations to address similar problems.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> Dasril Aldo, Yohani Setiya Rafika Nur, Annisaa Utami ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4375 Thu, 12 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Design of 5G MIMO 2x2 Broadband Antenna At 26 GHz Frequency Using Double U-Slot Method and Defected Ground Structure https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4409 <p>The 5G technology is a telecommunications innovation that offers incredibly high-speed data transfer. It is expected to outperform its predecessors significantly. In utilizing 5G services, efficient devices are crucial, and solutions like Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems play a key role. MIMO is an antenna system with numerous transmitting and receiving elements, enabling simultaneous transmission and reception. A 26 GHz frequency microstrip antenna is modified using a double U-slot, and the Defected Ground Structure (DGS) method is employed to reduce antenna coupling effects and enhance bandwidth. This antenna features a directional radiation pattern that focuses in a specific direction, thereby increasing efficiency. Prior to optimization, the return loss was at around -14.15 dB, VSWR was approximately 1.49 dB, and bandwidth was 0.65 GHz. After optimization, the return loss improved to between -27.06 and -28.09 dB, signifying performance enhancement. Despite a slight increase in VSWR to 1.08 to 1.09 dB, it remains within acceptable limits. The bandwidth increased to 1.06 to 1.13 GHz. These results indicate that optimization successfully boosted antenna performance, resulting in higher data transfer efficiency. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the telecommunications landscape with faster and more reliable services through advanced 5G networks.</p> Muhammad Ihsan, Alfin Hikmaturokhman, Solichah Laras, Syah Alam ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4409 Thu, 19 Oct 2023 06:31:44 +0000 Expert System for Disease Identification in Palawija Plants with the Dempster Shafer Method https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4418 <p>Crops, including corn, are important agricultural commodities and contribute greatly to people's food needs. Diseases in crops are often the main factor that reduces crop production and quality. Maize plants are particularly susceptible to various pests and diseases, such as Leaf Blight, Leaf Spot, Rust, Stem Blight, Anthracnose, Root Rot, Cob Rot, Smut, Mosaic Virus, and Nematodes. Unfortunately, farmers often use pesticides or inappropriate control methods, resulting in suboptimal care and the emergence of new pests or diseases. This study aims to assist farmers in detecting early symptoms of pests and diseases in corn plants, so that control can be more precise and effective. In this study, 10 disease attack data were processed using the Dempster Shafer method. This method processes data based on symptoms seen in corn plants, allowing detection of types of pests and diseases and recommendations for handling them with an accuracy rate of about 80%. Therefore, the Dempster Shafer method is relevant for use in the identification of diseases in corn plants.</p> Wanda Ilham, Sapta Eka Putra, Dasril Aldo, Yohani Setiya Rafika Nur, Annisaa Utami ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4418 Thu, 12 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Application of Learning Vector Quantization and Trajectory Planning On a 4-DoF Robotic Arm to Move the Object https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4429 <p>The robotic arm is a type of statistical robot with a limited range of movement. Robotic arms are generally within the scope of Cartesian coordinates, according to the specified link length. The development of robot technology leads us to continue to upgrade soft computing. Intelligent systems in robots can improve good navigation detection systems or carry out the operator's tasks. On the other hand, using a camera is an important part of finding clear information about objects or capturing the environment around the robot. In this research, we implemented an intelligent system and computer-based camera on a 4-DoF robotic arm system. This robotic arm consists of a computer as the main processor, a microcontroller to adjust the joint angle, additional electronics, and a camera to detect objects and classify them by color. The colors used are red, green, and blue. The learning process uses these colors using Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ). The implementation of LVQ also carries out pre-processing, training, and testing stages. In the experiments that have been carried out, the robotic arm successfully navigates toward the target object and moves the object using the Trajectory Planning method. This computing process is done on a computer and connected to the robot arm's microcontroller. The experiment was carried out 60 times, and the success rate was 95%. Overall, the robot successfully picked up objects and grouped them by color.</p> Rendyansyah Rendyansyah, Bhakti Yudho Suprapto, Hera Himarika, Irmawan Irmawan ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ecotipe.ubb.ac.id/index.php/ecotipe/article/view/4429 Thu, 12 Oct 2023 00:00:00 +0000
